As you know we hung out in Orlando a couple of weekends ago and met and sniffed lots of new dogs (and a few people too).  If you checked out the weather you’ll know that the temperatures that weekend were close to 100 degrees.  As you can imagine there was a lot of sweating and panting going on but we had a great time anyway.

Well, we’re headed south again, this time back to Perry, GA.  This will be our 3rd dog show event in Perry this year so we’re starting to feel a little like natives. This time we’re headed down for a fun weekend of Agility Trials.  You may remember Max’s first experience watching an Agility event.  No?  You can read about it here.   These are definitely fun events to watch.

Anyway, here are the particulars.  If you’re in the area we’d love to meet you.  This is an all indoor event, so don’t worry about the Georgia summer heat.  It’ll be nice and cool inside the arena.

I’m passing this information on in hopes that some of my friends may be able to assist in transporting 2 Adult labs and 4 puppies to a no-kill animal shelter.

If you are between Franklin, GA and Asheville, NC or Chattanooga, TN you may be in  a great position to help save these dogs.

Okay… so we all know that Dads can be kind of… how do I put this politely… GROSS…  They burp, they leave smelly socks on the floor and they sometimes wear clothes with holes in them and they yell at the TV during sports events (And yes, the refs CAN hear them through the TV).

But… without Dads how would any of us know the ‘pull my finger joke?’  Or how would we have learned what happens when you drop a pack of Mentos in to a Coke bottle? (come on, we all know that the person who figured that out was a Dad trying to get out of doing yard work…)

And… think about it… no disrespect to Mom’s here, but no matter how small their contribution to the whole process… without Dad’s there would be no us… GULP… who would chase the squirrels then?

So this year for Father’s Day why not get your dad, or Granddad or Step Dad or Step GrandDad or Uncle who was like a Dad or … you get the picture right?… something that he would actually enjoy.  This year, no ties (the one he got last year is still in the box), no Old Spice (although it does make a great insect repellent) and for goodness sake… NO UNDERWEAR OR SOCKS (no matter how many holes his favorite pair of boxers has…)
